As a poet, my work focuses on how we as humans interact with the natural world around us. My first collection, "Interpretive Work," contains poems about my work as a naturalist and about the interpretation of a queer body in a straight world. My second collection, "Approaching Ice," delves into the history of polar exploration, examining the lives of various polar explorers and the landscape of the high latitudes. As a publisher, I'm interested in putting literary/visual collaborations out into unusual and unexpected daily places. My press, www.broadsidedpress.org, relies upon grass-roots distribution to post collaborative works in public places.
